INDIA · THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE

The India we bring our family back to

India isn’t a place you sightsee. It’s a living heritage you step inside — the noise, the color, the food, the family. We’ve traveled the Golden Triangle with our own boys again and again, and we plan it the way we’d plan it for our own: so you belong there, not just pass through.

A living heritage you step inside

Belong, don’t just visit

Heritage, not a checklist

We don’t just tick off monuments. We go to the loud, joyful weddings; we sit with grandparents; we let the country be lived in, not watched from a distance. That’s the gap we close for you — the difference between seeing India and belonging in it for a couple of weeks.

The confidence to say yes

The street food rule

Street food is the pulse of India, and we won’t steer you away from it — we’ll steer you through it. The stalls worth stopping for, the dishes to try, and one rule we never break: bottled water only, no exceptions, even for brushing your teeth. That’s how you get the real thing without paying for it later.

THREE CITIES, ONE LOOP

The Golden Triangle

Delhi

Humayun's Tomb framed by palm trees, Delhi

The collision of worlds. Old Delhi’s spice lanes and food stalls on one side; the quiet grandeur of Humayun’s Tomb and the Lodhi gardens on the other. History you feel, not just photograph.

Agra

The Taj Mahal reflected in its garden pool, Agra

More than a photo of the Taj. It’s standing before world history at first light — and understanding the sheer scale of where a family comes from.

Jaipur

The rose-pink facade of the Hawa Mahal, Jaipur

The Pink City, where heritage turns visual. Forts on the hills, palace facades in rose sandstone, block-printed textiles — royalty you can still feel in the walls.

THE HONEST PART

What to know before you go

Getting in

US travelers need an India e-Tourist Visa, applied online before you fly, plus a short digital arrival card completed in the days before departure. We walk you through both, step by step.

When to go

October through March — cool, clear, and comfortable. We steer families away from the summer heat and the monsoon rains.

Food & diet

A dream for vegetarians, and manageable for most diets. We map the wonderful, safe places to eat — and build the bottled-water rule into every day.

Pace

One region, done well. The Golden Triangle is the ideal first India — three cities, manageable distances, no rushing — especially on a first visit or at an unhurried pace.
